This book exposes what really goes on behind closed doors of all the big dance music events throughout the World told through the eyes of the man who there and saw it all and was behind the birth of the biggest club nights in England - One Nation, Garage Nation & Dreamscape and ended up running large scale events and clubs around the World which saw lots of fun and games in Ibiza, Ayia Napa, Germany, Switzerland, Amsterdam and Toronto!

Observe continues to draw you in to the story of Nicole.

As this is book 4 in the series, there is quite a bit of "background" scenes that come back in this book that helps keep the story going. I was really excited to see where the story of Nicole and Austin went in book 4 and was very shocked to see early on what was happening. Definitely not expected.

We get to see a very strong female in Nicole as she continues to master her Arete powers/talents.
We do however, also get to really see the compassion that Nicole, a young adult, has for others when she is contacted by someone from an earlier book for help. She knows that although she has a full plate of things to do, including being the sole protector of an elixir, she must help this older woman. It is part of what makes her Nicole, not just an Arete.

I was once again drawn into the story, not wanting to put it down until it was finished. The end of the book left me begging for the final "chapter" in the story. I wanted to find out what was going to happen. Some have said it was an abrupt ending ... I thought it was more like the TV show cliffhangers at the end of a season taunting you to come back for more. Trust me you will want to come back for more.

Although I am definitely not a "young adult", I have been captured by Nicole's adventures - both in the physical and the magical. The characters seem real and, even in unreal circumstances, retain that "reality. Andrea Pearson is to be congratulated. These are truly engaging and none of the "bs" that usually inhabits books for older readers. Good job! I will have a hard time waiting for the next installment!

Crazy creatures and Terrific twists

This book took Nicole and her friends through some crazy, harrowing experiences. It was nail-biting tense, and sometimes, downright scary. The twists in this book were shocking and made it hard to stop reading. The only negative was it ended quite abruptly and didn’t tie everything nicely together into much resolution. There was resolution, but it was abrupt and kind of surprised me. But, their biggest challenges are yet to be faced, and since this is almost the end of the series, I can forgive the abrupt ending because to get this far, you have to be pretty engaged and dedicated to finishing. This is a great series with fantastical creatures and insane plot twists that make you wince, whimper or whirl around in a field of daisies. (All right, not the last one because I didn’t have a nearby field to twirl in, but the other two I did quite a lot throughout this story).

Dr. Mein holds degrees in Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Applied Nutrition, and Bio-Nutrition. She has maintained a private practice in Rancho Sante Fe, California (near San Diego) for over 25 years. Dr. Mein's interests in health, wellness and nutrition began with personal experimentation and observation. In an effort to sort through and make sense of the jungle of popular diets, she turned to the body itself. Through applied kinesiology, Dr. Mein listens to the body for direct answers to health and nutrition. With the goal of maximizing health and vitality through practical means without radical diets or lifestyles, she determined how to incorporate balance in today's busy world without compromising the variety that keeps life interesting. By muscle testing, Dr. Mein is able to get beyond short term fixes and temporary recommendations to achieve deep and sustaining levels of improved health, fitness and energy. Her search for explicit understanding of the body and the differences between bodies led to the discovery of "The 25 Body Type System." Finally, Dr. Mein found order to the seemingly contradictory world of nutrition. By identifying numerous distinctions, the reasons for varied results among people participating in identical programs became apparent. Adjustments could be determined and implemented for individual achievement of optimum health and ideal weight management.

Learn about emotions, physical health, and essential oil use.

Great for learning how to release emotions that can trigger or aggravate physical health conditions, using essential oils. I look through this book almost every day, learning which oils to use for specific emotional issues, where to apply the oils, and to understand the positive side of perceived negative experiences. I am trying to support brain health and detoxing from exposure to food toxins, antibiotic side effects, and emotional trauma. There are clear, precise charts that show alarm points, tables that list emotions, the positive emotion, and affirmations that can be used; muscle testing is described; determining body/emotion type. This book has taught me how to do all of this. I have the May, 2012, edition but I'm sure the 2014 is even better with an updated, longer list of oils to use.

About the Author

Geoffrey Till is a recognised authority on maritime strategy past and present. Formerly Dean of Academic Studies at the UK Joint Services Command and Staff College, he is currently Professor of Maritime Studies in the Defence Studies Department and Director of the Corbett Centre for Maritime Policy, King's College London at the UK Joint Services Command and Staff College. He is author of a number of books including Air Power and the Royal Navy, Maritime Strategy and the Nuclear Age and, most recently, The Development of British Naval Thinking (also published by Routledge).

The Author Geoffrey Till is an experienced Professor and Consultant in Maritime Affairs. He is up to date especially now in the Asia-Pacific Region where we see the rise of China's Navy - PLA-N. This book is a must read for those interested in Naval Security studies.
